Story by Lucinda , for Rachel

Luminous Lights.

At school one day, Louise said to her teacher, "Do you like my picture of the Northern Lights?"

Her teacher, Mrs. Merryweather smiled and said,"My,my! What a clever young lady you are!"

Mrs. Merryweather was right. Loise was very clever for her age. She was only 8 years old and she knew ALL her times tables up to her 15 times table! What Mrs. Merryweather meant though was that Louise knew what the Northern Lights were! Now, Mrs.Merryweather had only just found out what the Northern Lights were - 4 years ago when she was 27.

"Do you really know what the Nothern Lights are?" Said Mrs. Merryweather to Louise. "Oh yes!" Said Louise.

"My dad told me about them when I was only 5!"

"My goodness!" Exclaimed Mrs. Merryweather. "So,"said Mrs.Merryweather, "What exactly are the Northern Lights?"

"The Northern Lights," said Loiuse, "Are caused by Santa when he is painting in his sleigh on the way to childrens houses on Christmas Eve."

"Really!" Said Mrs. Merrywather sounding excited. "Are you sure?"

"Oh yes I'm quite sure Mrs. Merryweather!" said Louise.

And they both burst into laughter full of hapiness.
