ギャルウェイタウンに小さなあれはてた村がありました。そこではまい日男の子や女の子が広場にあつまってあそびます。その子どもたちの中でビッグ．ジョン　ミュラニーはほかの子のじゃまばかりしていました。ときどきビッグ．ジョンはみんなにわる口をいったり、プラスティックのビンをこわそうとしたりしました。そんなことがつづいたのもビッグ．ジョンがわたしたちの "グッド．ギャング" にはいるまで...

ジョンがグッド．ギャングにはいってからはどんなときでもとてもいい子でいました。いろいろな問題をおこしてきたビッグ．ジョンでしたがすぐにみんなをいじめることがよくないとわかりました。そして友だちになって楽しいことをしたり、いっしょにわらったりすることのほうがずっとかんたんだとわかったのです。



In a run down little village in Galway town, where the boys and girls play games together everyday, over in the square, amongst the children there, big John Mullaney does his best to pester the other children. Occasionally he'd taunt them, or try to break a plastic bottle until the day he joined in our "Good Gang".

Since then he's been so wonderfully good, during sunny or stormy weather and after all the trouble he had caused, he soon came to learn that it is not nice to bully people and that it is much easier to be friends with everyone and have fun and laugh together.
