I have a pet rabbit, her name is Girl-Girl. Just a week ago, she was actually a pest to me. This is the story of how Girl-Girl became my pet:One day, my class was having lessons when Girl-Girl came hopping into the classroom. The whole class was very interested in it. Especially, our class's all famous mischief, Melvin Soh.
Mdm Cheng, our form teacher said," Melvin chase that puppy out!" " No!" cried Melvin indignantly. As a result, Mdm Cheng chased the rabbit out herself but because of Melvin constantly metioning her that day,all we could think about was Girl-Girl.
"Rrrrrring!" it was recess. Suddenly, Mdm Cheng shrieked, " That rabbit left some droppings in the classroom. Class, you all are to forgo your recess and clean up this horrid mess!" A chorus of groans was heard. We thought that was the worst that could happen but we were terribly wrong.
During the Music period, the class finshed our worksheets that we had been assigned to do during the last period just as Girl-Girl came hopping in. We did not bother to chase her out as we were going down to the Music Room. Now that was a terrible mistake because when we came back.....
Mdm Cheng asked our monitress where the worksheets were. she said they were on Mdm Cheng's table but they were not. Then quick-witted Shi Ling said,"I know where the worksheets are!!" and she pointed soberly to Girl- Girl. " She has eaten them!! The rabbit!" she cried. Mdm Cheng photostated more copies and we had to do it all over again. "What a pest!" cried the whole class. From then on,chasing Girl- Girl whenever she came in became part of the " Duty Roster"
One day, as usual, Girl- Girl came hopping in. Wei Heng, who was on duty was about chase her out when my worksheet flew out of the window. I did not know what was going on with Gir-Girl but she hopped after my worksheet in an attempt to get it. " She's probably going to eat it." I thought gloomily. Finally, her efforts were rewarded, she caught it.
To my enormous surprise, she brought it back to me, her chests puffed out and her face glowing with joy. From that day onwards, I decided to keep her as my pet.
