お話：メリー　絵：アレキサンドラ

むかしむかし、あるところにまほうの池がありました。その池で泳いだ人はだれでもまほうの力を持つことができるのです。

ある日、ジェニーという女の子とティガー、ミスティー、ペッパーという三びきのネコが図書館にむかって歩いているところでした。ちょうど半分ぐらいまできたところで、何かにきょうみをそそられたペッパーは森の中にいってしまいました。ジェニー、そしてもちろんほかのネコたちもペッパーの後をついていきました。

ペッパーが追いかけていったものについていくと森の真ん中にある大きな空き地にでました。その空き地の真ん中にはお池がありました。たまたまジェニーは図書館にいった後でお友だちの家にいって泳ごうと思っていたので、本のはいったバックパックの中に水着をいれてあったのです。ジェニーは水着に着がえると池の中に飛びこみました。

15分ほど泳いだところでジェニーはペッパーが何かを追いかけて池の中にはいってしまったことに気がつきました。もうペッパーはずぶぬれです。ジェニーは池からでるとタオルで体をかわかし、そしてペッパーもふいてあげました。それからジェニーは着がえると図書館にむかって歩いていきました。すると道の真ん中に自転車に乗った友だちがあらわれました。

3びきのネコのうち一番わかいティガーは自転車の前に飛び出してしまいました。友だちのスージーは止まろうとしまたのですがブレーキをかけるのが間にあいませんでした。ティガーはひかれてしまったのです。スージーは立ちつくしたまま、ただあやまっていました。ジェニーがティガーをだきあげると何と奇跡が起きたのです。

ティガーは目をあけるとジェニーを見つめました。ジェニーはニッキーの家にいって泳ぐことなどすっかりわすれて家に走って帰りました。ジェニーはその後でまほうのききめが3時間しかもたないことがわかりました。でもジェニーはどうしてまほうの力がえられたのか、どうしてネコたちをつれて池にいくたびにまほうの力がえられるのか、本当のところはわかりませんでした。 ;D

Once upon a time, there was a magical pond. Anyone that went swimming in it would have super powers.
One day, A little girl named Jennie and her three cats, Tigger, Misty, and Pepper, were on their way to the library. About halfway there, one of the cats, Pepper, got intersted in something in the woods. Jennie went after her, and of course, the other cats followed.
The thing that Pepper was chasing led them to a big opening in the middle of the woods.Right there in the middle of the clearing was a pond. Also, it just so happened that after she was finished in the library, she was going to her friend's house to go swimming, so in her backpack to put the books in,she had her bathing suit. She put it on, and jumped in.
After about fifteen minutes of swimming, Jennie noticed that Pepper had chased that thing into the water, and now she was soaking wet. Jennie got out and dried off with a towel, then dried Pepper off, and changed back into her clothes. As she was walking towards, the library, one of her friends appeared in the middle of the street, riding her bike.
Now, Tigger was the youngest of the three cats, and she just jumped out in front of the bike. Susie tried to stop, but she couldn't put the brakes on in time. She hit Tigger. She stood there apoligizing. Jennie finally picked up Tigger, and when she did, a miricle occured.
Tigger opened her eyes, and looked at Jennie. Jennie ran home, forgetting all about Nikki's house, and going swimming. She later found out that the powers wore off after 3 hours. She never did figure out, though, exactly where she got them, or how she kept getting them every time she took her cats to the pond. ;D
