あるところにジンジャーといういっぴきのネコがいました。ほんとうにかわいいネコでした。とってもかわいいネコだったので、わたしはジンジャーがネコの女王さまだとおもいました。ジンジャーのかいぬしはおみせをもっていて、ジンジャーをつくえのうえにのせました。ジンジャーはじぶんがボスだとおもっていたのです。

ある日のこと、いっぴきのいぬがおみせにやってきました。ジンジャーはいぬのあたまのうえにピョンととびのりました。 いぬはジンジャーをふりおとすと、カリカリとつよくひっかきました。それからというもの、ジンジャーはいぬがおみせにはいってくるとじぶんのはこからでてこようとはしなくなりました。にんげんのボスになれるジンジャーですが、いぬのボスにはなれないことがわかったのです。


There once was a cat whose name was Ginger. It was a pretty cat. In fact it was so pretty that it thought it was the Queen cat. Her owner owned a store and she put her cat on top of the desk. Ginger thought that she was the boss.

One day a dog came in and Ginger jumped on top of it. The dog knocked her off and scratched her hard. Ginger never came out of her box when ever any dogs came to the store. Ginger found out that she was not the boss of dogs, just people.
