毎年、みんなクリスマスがくるのを心配そうにまっています。ロースト．ダックやあまいキャンディー．ケーンのにおい、そしてクリスマスキャロルを歌う楽しいときを心まちにしているのです。その中でもとくに、サンタクロースがほこりだらけのえんとつをおりてきて、プレゼントをとどけにきてくれることをまっています。クリスマス．イヴはみんなねむることができません。だってあの楽しそうなおじいちゃんがクリスマスにほしいなとおもっているプレゼントをとどけにきてくれることをしっているからです。

でもみんなサンタクロースをまちつづけている間にうとうとねむってしまいます。とつぜんひとすじの光をかんじて、バタバタとかいだんをおりていってプレゼントのつつみをやぶくのです！そしてミルクとクッキーをじっと見つめたみんなはふしぎなことにきづくのです！たべかけのクッキーが半分だけのこり、ミルクはぜんぶなくなってしまっています！どうしてこうなちゃったんだろ？そんなふうに思っているとみんなのママとパパがにかいからおりてきて、びっくりさせます。そしてママやパパもサンタクロースがとどけてくれたプレゼントのつつみをあけるのです。

その後で、ママやパパといっしょにおいしい朝ごはんをたべます。そしてママやパパがくすくすわらっている間、みんなは外にとびだしていって遊びます。（サンタクロースはほんとうじゃないのよ。だってわたしのママがそういったもの！）

Each year you wait anxiously till Christmas arrives. You wait for the smell of roasted duck, the taste of the sweet candy canes, the rejoicing times as we sing the Christmas carols, but most of all you wait for Santa Claus to drop down our dust chimney and deliever presents to us. You can never sleep on Christmas Eve because you know the jolly old man will be here to deliever the presents that you expect for Christmas.
As you wait you driftly fall asleep. Suddenly you feel a ray of light hitting you. You rush downstairs and tear open your present! Then you look at the milk and cookies and you get a shocking mystery! The cookies are half eaten and the milk is gone! How can it be? While you think your parents come down and shock you tremendously. They also open up their presents that Santa delievers to them.
After that you have a delicious breakfast and then you go out and play, while your parents giggle. (Santa is not really real, my mom told me!)
