Story by April B, for Sophie

This is another part to my story about Amanda and the little elf named Luister. Now Amanda was grown and had a lovely family. Amanda still had told no one about her adventure with the little man Luister for fear she would be called a luniatic. Amanda was free to do anything she wanted because her sons and daughters were at school and her husband was at the mill.

During her free time she read a book, but then she decided to go outside and read. She sat under a tree, when she heard someone calling her name. She looked around, but saw no one so decided it was just her imagination. She heard it again and out of the corner of her eye saw a movement.

She looked around and then something caught her eye that almost made her faint. It was that pond she has seen right before she saw the little man Luister! She rubbed her eyes, but it was still there. She decided she would see if she could see the little mad again by swimming in the pond and taking a nap just like she had before she had woken up in that wonderful forest. She put her toe in like she had before, but unlike before, the pond started swallowing her up! She was not screaming because she was in shock.

She closed her eyes, because she thought if she didn't see anything it would not be so bad. She finally decided to open her eyes and to her amazement she saw Luister eating a apple! "Luister, Luister!", she yealled. She was sooooooooo excitied! Luister just sat there like she wasn't there. "Luister?", she said. She came up and touched him and found it was just a satue of him! Finally she saw the REAL Luister! She ran up to him, and he ran up to you stubbling on his short legs. Thay exchaged hugs, and Luister said

"I am so happy you are here!"

"I am too!", she replied.

They talked awhile and she told Luister about her wonderful family, and he told about all the adventures he had, had since they had met each other. Then the part that Amanda was regretting was what Luister said" It is time to leave, for I have things to do."

Amanda gave him a hug and a kiss on the cheek, and said goodbye. He told her to step in the pond and not to be frighted. He told her they would meet again just like before. She went throught that terrible whirlpool, but it didn't seem so bad this time. When she got back out of the pond she got her things then looked back, and just like before;the pond was gone.

She went home, and told wonderful tales to her children about a little girl who met a little girl, and all the wonderl times they had together. An she stills looks forward to seeing that little man Lusiter, for she knows his promises are true ones.
