「あら、ウサギだ!こっちにおいで、何もしないから!」ともえこちゃんはそっとささやきました。
"Moeko, turn the TV off and go outside!" Moeko's mother called. "Oh, OK," Moeko groaned She grabbed her coat and trudged out the door. She ran around the corner of the house. Suddenly, something gray and furry darted in front of her. Moeko slid to a stop so fast that she fell over."Whoa, what was that?" Moeka stared at the bushes where the gray thing had went. She stood up, dusted herself off, and peered into the bushes. Moeko didn't see anything.
"Where did it go?" She wonered out loud.Just then the bush rustled. Moeko jumped back, startled. "Maybe if I wait a minute, it will come out!" Moeko took a few steps back and sat down on the grass to wait. Moeko waited, and waited, and waited. Just as she was about to leave, the bush rustled again. A little face peeked out at Moeko.
"Why, It's a rabbit!" Moeko whispered, "Come here, I won't hurt you!"The rabbit hopped out of the bush and began to nibble on the grass. Then out came another rabbit, and another, and another! "Wow!" Moeko smiled. Moeko sat and watched the rabbits until her mother called her in for dinner.
At the dinner table Moeko told her parents all about the family of rabbits, and the next day she took her whole family out to watch them. "This is much better than TV!" Moeko smiled at her parents.
