お話：ジェイミ　絵：みどり

動物たちがみんなでお祝いをしています。それは猫のお誕生日でした。プレゼントに、ネズミはシア（キャットフード）をいれる小さなボウルをもってきました。豚は小さなドラムをもってきました。パンダはキャットニップをひとふくろもってきました。みんなが楽しいひとときを過ごしていると猫がケーキの時間だよといいました。動物たちはみんな、ろうそくの火をふき消そうとする猫の回りをかこみました。ふっとひといきで、全部のろうそくが消えました。

「わぁ～い！」動物たちはみんな大かっさい。

ケーキが終わると、猫はボートのところにみんなを連れていきました。そしてみんなは星空の下をボートに乗っていきました。ネズミはちょっとこわそうにしていましたが、みんなボート乗りが大すき！みんなは鮮やかなルアーを使ってお星さまの形をした魚．ヒトデをつかまえました。パーティーの最後に、猫はみんなにさよならのあいさつをしました。

「わぁ、なんてすてきなパーティーだったんだろ。」と猫はつぶやきました。

All the animals were having a great celebration.It was the cat's birthday. For a present, Mouse brought a little bowl of Shia (cat food). Pig brought a little drum. Panda brought a sack of catnip. They were all having a great time, when Cat said that it was time for cake. All the animals crowded around Cat as he blew out the candles. With a huff, all the candles were blown out.

"Yea!"Cheered all the animals.
After the cake, Cat took them to his boat. There, they all sailed around in the starry sky. Mouse was a little scared, but everyone loved it! They caught starfish (fish that look like stars) with bright lures. At the end of the party, cat said good bye to all his friends.

"Wow," he said to himself,"That was a marvelous party."
