お話：スミス先生の三年生クラス　絵：チルダ

むかしむかし、パーティにいきたくてたまらなかった雲がいました。というのもだれもパーティにまねいてくれなかったからでした。 その雲はおおなきをしたので、グランドキャニオンはだいこうずいになってしまいました。 グランドキャニオンにいくためにきっぷをかった人たちはみんな、なくのはやめてくれるよう雲にたのみました。

雲はじょうけんをだしました。 もしおおきなパーティをひらいてしょうたいしてくれたらなくのはやめる、と。 そこで、ひとびとはとてもおおきなスイミングパーティをグランドキャニオンでひらくことを計画しました。 雲はにっこりしてなくのをやめました。なみだは雨だったのです。

たいようがでてきました。みんなグランドキャニオンにできた新しいみずうみでおよぎました。 雲もいっしょにおよぎました。

きいろのパッケージになにがはいっているかわかりますか？ それはたいようのひかりなのです。


Once upon a time there was a cloud that wanted to go to a party because no one ever invited him to a party. He cried so hard that he flooded the Grand Canyon. All the people who bought tickets to visit the Grand Canyon begged the cloud to stop crying.

The cloud made a deal with the people. He said that if they would have a huge party and invite him, he would stop crying. So the people planned a great big swimming party at the Grand Canyon. The cloud smiled and that made the tears stop and the tears were the rain.

Now the sun came out and everybody swam in the new lake at the Grand Canyon. The cloud sen swimming too.

Guess what was in the yellow pakage. It was the sunshine.
