むかしむかし、日本にふたりの女の子がすんでいました。 ふたりはお家へと続く小道を歩いていました。 村にいくための橋をわたろうとすると、とつぜん、きれいな星が橋のむこうがわに落ちていきました。

ふたりはおどろいて橋を走ってわたりました。

「どうしたらいいのかしら？」

「絹につつんでお家にもってかえりましょう」。

女の子はきれいな星をコートにつつみお家にもってかえりました。 両親に見せるととてもよろこびました。 少女たちはそれをマーケットに持っていって、そのかわりにダイアモンドのネックレスを買いました。


Once upon a time, there were two girls who lived in Japan. They were walking along the path that led to their homes. They were about to cross the bridge that led to their villiage, when suddenly, a beautiful star floated down and landed on the other side of the bridge.
The two girls gasped and ran across the bridge.
"What should we do with it?" On of them asked.
"Let's wrap it in silk and take it home."Said the other.
The first girl wrapped the beautiful star in her cloak and took it home. When they showed their parents, they were very happy! The girls took it to market, where they both bought diamond necklaces in exchange for the crown.
