むかしむかし、あるところに歩くナシくんがいました。歩くナシくんは自分のことをとってもふとっちょだとおもっていたのです。歩くナシくんは、まぁナシってものはぜんぶまるぽちゃのように、まるまるしていました。そうでしょ？

さて、ある日のこと、この歩くナシくんがカロリー消費のために森の中を歩いているときのことです。歩くナシくんはリンゴやオレンジやレモンにであいました。みんなは口をそろえていいました。「いやぁ、ナシのペアリーは本当にふとっちょだね。」

ある日、ペアリーが春の明るい日差しの中を歩いていくとライムをみかけました。ペアリーは声をかけました。「ライム、ちょっと待ってよ！」ライムは立ち止まりました。ペアリーがライムに追いつくとライムはいいました。「減らせないカロリーを減らすなんてのはばかげてると思うね。」そしてライムはペアリーに続けていいました。「きみはちっともふとっちょじゃないよ。ペアリーの体ってものはそういう物だよ。」と説明しました。

ペアリーはなっとくして、それからあまり体重のことは気にしなくなりました。

Once there was a walking pear who thought that he was fat. He was, but all pears are rather round. Right?
Well, one day he was walking through the woods to burn off some calories. He met up with an apple, an orange,and a lemon. They all said that the pear, Pearry, was very fat indeed.
But one day Pearry was walking in the bright spring sunshine. He saw a lime. Pearry said, "Wait up, Lime!" Lime waited. When Pearry caught up, Lime told him that he thought that it was silly to try to take off calories that wouldn't come off. Lime also said that Pearry was not fat. He explained that that was just the Pearry's body was.
Pearry understood, and he never worried too much about his weight again.
