South Korea: Hanbok
reported by: Crystal (age 12), original photo contributed by: Jihae (age 1)

The girls' costume of Korea is very traditional. It is called the hanbok.

Long ago, it was worn daily, but today, it is only worn at special ceremonies.

The costume itself includes a dress part, a jacket part, a hat, and a pair of socks.

It is made from very colorful silk. It feels a little itchy though.
